Mission Statement
The mission of the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. is to request, receive, maintain and use funds to maximize the quality of education available in the Longview Independent School District.
 Johnny Cace's Seafood and Steak House hosted the annual Mardi Gras Celebration to benefit the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. on Tuesday, February 16. Cace's donated a portion of the evening's dining receipts to the Foundation in support of the 2010 Lamplighter Awards Banquet to be held on Thursday, April 8, at Pinecrest Country Club. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal at Cace's, an East Texas dining tradition for over sixty years, and the sounds of New Orleans provided by the Longview High School Jazz Combo. |

 2010 Grants Giveaway members visited elementary schools on March 2, Texas Independence Day, to award grants to twelve recipients or groups of recipients. They are Kay Ray, Foundation director, Karen Reed, Shirley Williams, and Katherine McCrory. Karen Reed and Katherine McCrory are both Longview High School graduates who now have children in Longview ISD. Shirley Williams will be honored at the 2010 Lamplighter Awards Banquet with the seventh annual Cornerstone Award for her dedicated service to Longview ISD through her years teaching English at Longview High School and for her service to the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. |
