The Twentieth Annual Grants Program Begins November 10, 2014!

The Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the 2015 Great Rewards for Great Ideas Program, formerly known as the Grants-to-Teachers Program. From November 10, 2014, through Friday, January 16, 2015, teachers, counselors, librarians and nurses may apply for a classroom grant for funds ranging from $100 to $2000 for innovative classrooms projects or programs or for materials to enhance the instructional programs and materials funded by Longview ISD. The Foundation will fund grants for all academic areas, music, art, technology, physical education, character education and counseling and guidance. Since 1996, the Foundation has funded 573 grants through the Grants-to-Teachers Program, returning $535,294.02 to Longview ISD teachers, counselors, librarians, and nurses so that they can provide the very best education possible for their students. These grants have funded programs and projects for students of all ability levels and in a variety of disciplines. In addition to strengthening academics, the grants have also funded projects in music, art, technology, character education, health and physical education, and guidance and counseling. In addition, the Longview ISD Foundation has funded seventeen Campus Initiative Grants for a total of $48,240.67 to enhance programs that align with campus and district improvement plans to increase student achievement. The Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. will announce the 2015 grant recipients on March 3, 2015.
