Lamplighter Awards, Thursday, April 6, 2017, 6:30 PM at Pinecrest Country Club, 201 Club Drive, Longview, Texas

The Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. cordially invites you to the seventeenth annual Lamplighter Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 6:30 PM at Pinecrest Country Club.

Tickets for the dinner and awards program are $25 each. Return your check made payable to the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. and the attached reply form by Friday, March 24, to make reservations. There will be no admission to the banquet without a paid reservation. You will not receive a ticket; please check in at the registration table at the banquet for your seating.

Based on an idea inspired by the children’s book My Great-Aunt Arizona by Gloria Houston, this banquet will honor a student from each Longview ISD campus and the educator or education support staff member who has had a significant influence on him or her.

The Longview ISD Foundation will award the fifteenth annual Cornerstone Award to Holly Forbes and Shelly and Jason Butler of Forbes and Butler Visual Communications Inc their support of the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. They have helped the Foundation make the annual Green Out a success.

The Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization whose mission is to request, receive, maintain and use funds to maximize the quality of education available in the Longview ISD. Since 1996, the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. has funded 644 grants through the annual Great Rewards for Great Ideas program, returning $656,613.20 to teachers, counselors, librarians and nurses throughout LISD so that they can offer the very best classroom instruction and programs to all students. Since 2008, the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. has funded 27 Campus Initiative Grants for a total of $70,735.52.
